China is worried that India, United States, Japan and Australia will work together to undermine its international influence with the revival of their quadrilateral dialogue.

The first meeting of the dialogue would take place after a break of nearly a decade on the sidelines of the East Asia Summitin Manila on November 13. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the summit

Chinese foreign ministry expressed hope that the dialogue is not used for "targeting or damaging third party's interest".

The ministry stated, " China has noticed the relevant news reports . We hope the collaboration among relevant countries could comply with the trend of times, which refers to peace, development, cooperation and shared benefits, and conform to the prospect of... common security and development.

"We hope it would be beneficial for improving mutual trust among countries and regions, and at the same time, safeguard and promote peace, tranquillity, and prosperity within the area, without targeting or damaging a third party's interest."

US President Donald Trump arrived in Japan as part of his Asia tour on Sunday. The concept of quadrilateral dialoguewas mooted in 2007 but has not made any progress since then.

A Chinese expert, Prof Lian Degui of Shanghai International Studies University, said India can hardly contribute to the development in the region because it's struggling with its own economic challenges.

"If the US, Japan, Australia and India can coordinate and support infrastructure construction and economic development of Indo-Pacific countries, they are more than welcome. But if they try to incorporate values into economic issues and display prejudice and hostility toward other countries, they will not bring stability to the region," Lian wrote in Global Times.

"A US, saddled with a tight budget, a financially indebted Japan, an Australia eyeing a free ride on China's economic development, and an India still struggling to become a developed country, can hardly spare any effort to contribute to public good," Lian argued in the Beijing-based magazine.

"Geopolitical competition and value judgements are affecting the way the US and Japan articulate their political and economic policies. Last year, Abe proposed the 'free and open Indo-Pacific strategy', echoing Obama administration's rebalancing the Asia-Pacific policy and the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement, both of which aim at putting China in check. If they stick to such a mindset, they will miss crucial development opportunities offered by this era," Lian wrote.

Virat Kohli celebrates his 29th birthday on Sunday and as per the tradition of the Indian cricket team, the Team India skipper was not spared.

Virat Kohli celebrates his 29th birthday
on Sunday and as per the tradition of the Indian cricket team, the Indian skipper was not spared. Kohli's face and hair was smeared with cake but one teammate was especially happy with the going-ons in the Indian dressing room. Hardik Pandya was on the receiving end of not a simple cake smearing session but more like a cake bashing session on his birthday on October 11 this year. The all-rounder swore "sweet" revenge that day, and he got his first one as the Indian team plastered cake on Kohli following the 2nd T2OI between India and New Zealand.

Pandya took to Twitter after Kohli's birthday celebrations and posted a picture with the India captain and captioned it,"Revenge no. 1. However, Kohli's birthday celebrations were a bit soured by India's loss in the 2nd T20I to New Zealand.New Zealand opener Colin Munro played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 109 off 58 balls to power New Zealand's 40-run win over India in the 2nd T20I in Rajkot on Saturday night.

Virat Kohli Thanks Zaheer Khan for His Priceless Relationship Advice

New Delhi: There has always been, and always will be, a close link between cricket and Bollywood. There have been numerous instances in the past where players have been linked to actresses. But there are only some, who come out in the open, and talk about their relationship. Virat Kohli is one such person.
Though not very vocal about his personal life, Kohli never hid the fact that he has been dating Bollywood star Anushka Sharma. In a chat show recently, Kohli said that it was Anushka, who made him a better person. Also, he credits the lady for making him calm.

Another person that Kohli remains thankful to is former teammate Zaheer Khan. In Gaurav Kapur's 'Breakfast with Champions' Kohli revealed that it was the pacer who advised him on relationship matters in the past, which seem to be working for him.
"A very big reason behind me not hiding my relationship is Mr. Zaheer Khan. Luckily he was one of the first guys I spoke to about this and he said whatever you do don't try to hide it because you'll stress yourself. And on top of that you're in a relationship, you're not doing anything wrong", Virat said.
"I'm actually very grateful that my first interaction about this was with Zak. And he told me the right thing to do so I've followed it ever since," the 28-year-old added.
Like all cricketers go through a lean patch, Virat too went through a similar phase in 2014, during India's tour to England. The Indian batsman failed to score runs throughout that series, and questions were being raised on his technique too. But it was his partner, Anushka, who stood by him and he came out good in Australia.
"Luckily I have never tried to change myself over the years. But the flip has been because of her. That period in England in 2014. Anushka was there in my life, she understood what I was going through so she kept me motivated."

"Her support helped me push through, however bad it was for me. She was a constant in that time... And then Australia happened (the tour in 2014-15 when Kohli scored four hundreds in four Tests) and I ended up scoring runs, in her presence. So it was a special thing for both of us because she also faced a lot of flak.
"We were being criticised and people were saying this is what happens when you allow girlfriends on the tour. I thought, if you don't think this is right then no one can be in a relationship". According to you all - either get married or remain single. How can that be?", he added.

Happy Birthday Shah Rukh Khan: 5 times when the actor proved that he is the king of wits

Happy Birthday Shah Rukh Khan: 5 times when the actor proved that he is the king of wits
Love him or hate him, but you cannot ignore him, such is the aura of the 'Badshah' of Bollywood industry, Shah Rukh Khan. He has always ruled the hearts of the fans and will always remain the King of Bollywood. His dimpled smile just adds on to his charming persona both on screen and off screen. He has impressed all, be it his near and dear ones, his co-actors, his fans or the journalists. He has his sarcasm ready for everyone and for every situation.
Very few people can turn their passion into profession. I am one of those lucky few." – Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh once said these words while he was speaking to young, impressionable students. But it isn’t just SRK who was lucky to turn his passion into a profession, we were all lucky to witness the meteoric rise of a man who came from a middle class household in Delhi and eventually became one of the most celebrated figures in the whole wide world. The early years of his film career are still fondly remembered by his fans and though we still enjoy watching him in all his glory, the magnanimity of Shah Rukh Khan, is much more than the characters he plays
Shah Rukh’s association as Raj or Rahul is probably the first thing that comes to the mind of anyone who has heard of the actor but is that all there is to him? With over 25 years in the film industry, Shah Rukh has done characters of various kinds but with time, his personality has grown much bigger than the characters he plays. His stardom is not dependent on his film roles anymore and that speaks volumes about the legacy he has built. Who knew that a young boy from Delhi who played Abhimanyu in a TV show would one day be honoured by the world for his artistic endeavours.
With his films in the early 90s, Shah Rukh established himself as the hard working, sincere man whose eyes could make us smile, blush and also had the capacity to make us cry. Be it the timid Sunil from Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa or the much loved Raj Malhotra from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, he made us root for the characters he played. Even when he was the man who sought vengeance for his family in Baazigar, we believed in his cause. His character’s morality was certainly questionable but the audience never wanted him to fail.
There is no shortage of Shah Rukh’s critics and the most common criticism they have for him is "But he does the same thing over and over again." Of course, Shah Rukh has done a lot of similar characters in his career but even the critics would agree that his magic is infectious.
